Mark Lewin

Mark has been programming ever since he first laid hands on a Sinclair ZX81 in the 1980's. Since then he has worked for some of the world's biggest software companies, developing solutions in Java, .NET and many others... and of course, Perl.

Experience:

Mark has developed software solutions for a wide variety of household name organisations since he first got started in the industry over 15 years ago. He now focuses primarily on web development. He is a Certified Technical Trainer and enjoys teaching programmers how to write rich internet applications using Flex, Silverlight and Javascript.

Mark currently works at the world's leading Geographical Information Systems software provider and is often called upon to speak at conferences. He is the author of a number of software-related books and articles for mainstream publishers and the trade press.

From Mark Lewin:

I've used loads of languages since I first started programming, but to get the job done I always resort to Perl. Perl is, for me, the perfect utility language. It is the swiss army knife of programming - able to adapt easily to just about any task.

Invest some time learning Perl now and you won't regret it. While all your colleagues are still designing their application you will have already built yours!

Let me help you learn Perl and in no time at all you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
