Beginner's Introduction to Perl - Part 1 & 2

Doug Sheppard has a great six-part beginner's tutorial available on Perl.com. It has quite a heroic depth to it, and I highly recommend it for anyone just starting to work with Perl. Even if you've got some Perl coding under your belt, chances are you'll find something to keep you interested. Take a look at parts one and two here as they cover most of the basics and some nice information on special operators and filehandles.
